J. Herbert Fenimore
"Herbie"

Age 63, of Wilmington, DE passed away at his home on Friday, August 17, 2001, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Mr. Fenimore was co-owner and President of B&F Towing Co., Inc., New Castle, DE for 35 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey C., Sr. and Annie F. Fenimore, his nephew, Philip R. Fenimore, and sister-in-law, Bettie H. Fenimore.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Kathleen Redmond Fenimore; sons and daughters-in-law, James H., Jr. and Marie, Wayne R. and Michelle, and daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa M. and Michael Cassidy, and Karen E. and John Pinter, all of Wilmington, DE; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harvey C., Jr. and Donald R. of Dover, DE, Robert D. and Carol of Middletown, DE, Roger A. and Susanna of Chadds Ford, PA, Henry W. and Johnnie Sue of Newark, DE, and Randall B. and Deborah of Lewes, DE; sisters and brothers-in-law , Phyllis F. and Charles Campbell, Sr., Audrey F. Serge, Ellen J. and James Harkness, Sr., and Evelyn J. F. and Edward Callahan, Jr., all of Wilmington, DE; his seven beloved grandchildren, Michael J., Shannon and Patrick Cassidy; Rachel, Ryan, Matthew and Christopher Fenimore of Wilmington; and numerous devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives.

Mr. Fenimore, a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, was also a member of the Delaware Towing Association, Towing Recovery Association of America (TRAA), Delaware Motor Transport Association, Delaware Auto and Truck Recyclers Association, Automotive Recyclers Association, honorary lifetime member of Cranston Heights and Millcreek Fire Companies, charter member of The Cluster Buster Hot Rod Club of Cranston Heights, President of B&F Racing Team, Inc., and an avid fan of NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt, Sr.

Herbie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and dear friend to many including strangers in need to whom he showed kindness, generosity and compassion. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and playing with his grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Life Celebration on Thursday, August 23, 2001, 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 2503 Centerville Road, Wilmington, DE. Calling hours on Wednesday evening will be from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at McCrery Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE. Interment at All Saints Cemetery.
